Fees & Payment

What insurance do you accept?

At Art & Balance Counseling, we believe that therapy should be a personalized, empowering experience without the limitations often imposed by insurance companies.

Therefore, we have chosen not to work directly with insurance providers. However, we do offer a superbill — an itemized receipt of services — which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits. Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed, and we recommend contacting your insurance provider to understand your specific coverage and eligibility.

Choosing to pay privately allows us to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, tailor your care without restrictions, and focus entirely on your healing journey. If you have any questions about how to use a superbill or need assistance navigating the process, we are happy to help guide you.

How much?!

Pricing of sessions depends on the provider and type of therapy (individual, couples, family)

Self-paying for therapy offers greater flexibility, privacy, and control over your care. Without insurance restrictions, your sessions stay focused on your goals — not on meeting outside requirements. While it may be a higher upfront cost, it’s a meaningful investment in your growth, healing, and long-term well-being.

Art & Balance also offers a sliding scale, ask your provider for more information.

How does payment work?

Before your first session, you’ll be asked to provide a credit card to keep securely on file within our HIPAA-compliant electronic health record system.
Payments are automatically processed at 11:59 PM on the day of the appointment. You can opt for another alternative method, including cash, check, or a different credit card. Be sure to let your provider know the day of your appointment.
